Our 10 Step Process
(If they aren't clean, we do it again)
1. Electrical resistance test.
We start by checking your individual fuel injector’s electrical OHMS resistance for consistency and reliability. This is performed on our top-of-the-line injector processing machine.
2. Leak test and spray pattern test.
Leak testing can be critical. We often see fuel leak past the valve of injectors when the valve is in the close position. This is due to deposits on the valve or valve seat. If not treated, can lead to poor fuel economy for the vehicle, improper fuel to air mixture and in extreme situations, complete engine failure.
3. spray pattern test.
The spray pattern can show us multiple things, indicating restrictions and contaminants within the injector. Both the leak test and spray pattern gives us data on each individual injector, this is recorded on our data sheet.
4. Removal of the injector filter and soft parts.
Each injector typically has its own small filter element inside. These are removed along with the old O-rings. These parts will be replace with new parts after the cleaning is complete.
5. Ultrasonic Cleaning
Our first stage of cleaning starts with your injectors being placed into our special solvent fluid, hooked up electronically and cycled while the Ultra Sonic Cleaning is in process. This removes particles, contaminants and deposits while lubricating the individual injectors.
6.Back-flushing
Second step of cleaning, each injector goes through our thorough back flushing process. This removes particles, contaminants and deposits from the inner components of the injector.
7. New serviceable parts
New filters and 0-rings are installed specific to each injector. We inventory dozens of injector filters and O-rings to insure what are prepared for all kinds including import, exotics and racing.
8. Flow testing, leak testing and spray pattern test
Now that the injectors have been well cleaned, we once again run each fuel injector through flow testing while utilizing the three same simulated RPM ranges. Spray pattern and leak testing is also analyzed in this process and all the data is recorded.
9. Data analyzing
Now we analyze the data and determine if each fuel injector is performing properly. If we find an injector is not, we will go through the entire cleaning and flowing process again at no charge to you, as our main goal is to have your injectors performing as well as possible.
10. Lubricate and package
Each injector gets a few drops of oil ensuring long shelf life and longevity of proper performance. Then we package and seal the injectors for shipping or you can pick up at our business. In addition, the data sheet is provided to you so you can appreciate the results.
